EasySplit

This new VHF Antenna Splitter from the german manufacturer Weatherdock is a sophisticated antenna-splitter.

This antenna splitter makes it possible to use the existing VHF antenna of the VHF-set with any AIS receiver and additionally to connect any FM radio to the same antenna. The splitter protects the AIS receiver and the FM radio by blocking the pass-through of VHF-signal to the AIS receiver when the VHF set is transmitting.

 

The VHF antenna spitter offers the following advantages:

  • Use existing VHF antenna installation
  • Reduces installation cost and time
  • Reduces weight in the mast-top
  • Can be used with transmitting VHF devices
  • Improve AIS coverage by using the masthead antenna
  • Can be used with combined VHF/FM/GSM antennas
